Dan's recent single hits No.1

August 2009 - Dan Wesley's self-penned country gospel song "Bring What You Have", which is taken from his new gospel CD, hit No. 1 on the NCM Country chart back in August. This is Dan's first chart-topper since his debut single "She's On Her Way Out" held top spot in the British Hotdisc Chart back in July 2004.

"Bring What You Have" tops a list, the Top 20 of which is below, which features such legendary country artistes as Vince Gill, Randy Travis, Marty Stuart and the Oak Ridge Boys, among others. In fact on the overall New Christian Music Euro Chart which features all genres of music, the song made No.2 just behind Robin Mark's "Year of Grace"

Outstanding 10 out of 10 review for new gospel CD

July 2009 - "Changed", the new gospel CD by Dan Wesley has received a fabulous review from one of the most influential promoters of christian music in the UK. CD Review
DAN WESLEY
CHANGED
TWANGMEISER RECORDS
10 out of 10, highly recommended, this young clear-voiced, modern country-gospel Brit has a mellow-rich vocal sound that captures attention immediately. This Gaitheresque repertoire is a fresh departure in the UK that works exceedingly well. It was recorded in Grimsby with John Permenter (fiddle) and the outstanding David Broadley on backing vocals. Dan himself is at the helm and all other instruments. As a solo-act of considerable promise, Dan communicates very well. Delivered with passion, his gentle voice has a simple charm that warms one to the story-telling sentiments being expressed. All his song-lyrics are engaging and catchy and work well, married to his competent backing. Indeed, there’s many radio pick-outs here performed in a chart-country-style. The quality-sounding sessions blend into an edifying mood-inspiring production of top credit, moments to treasure. Brilliant!

New Gospel album available NOW!

March 2009 - Dan Wesley has been working in the studio lately on a project with a difference - namely his first gospel album. Dan has been a christian for many years and indeed writing gospel songs for as long as he has been writing songs. And it was only a matter of time before a collection of this kind was released.
Dan's passion for country music is well known, but his passion for gospel music, and southern gospel in particular, is perhaps even greater. He was influenced in his early years listening to his father's extensive Elvis Presley collection and he has always said it was Elvis' Gospel albums that were his favourites. Also in that record collection were gospel albums by the Statler Brothers and Vance Greek. There will certainly be a good smattering of the classic gospel quartet sound on this CD, and yes, plenty of country.

Dan plays his first country gospel show
March 2009 - To coincide with the release of his first gospel album, Dan played a special country gospel concert at the Salvation Army Hall in Grimsby on March 21st. Also appearing that night was Jake Reed, a local gospel music singer/songwriter who recently recorded his first gospel CD at Twangmeister Studios. The show was a great success and is only the first of what Dan hopes are many such gospel shows.
